Auch in diesem Jahr ist die FAU mit einem interessanten Programm im Kontext des deutschen Diversity Tags dabei.

Wann: Dienstag, 14. Mai, 9 s.t.-15 Uhr
Wo: Multifunktionsraum EG Mensa Süd (Erwin-Rommel-Straße 60, 91058 Erlangen)

Veranstaltungssprache: Englisch

Das Büro für Gender und Diversity veranstaltet zusammen mit dem Vizepräsident People, Prof. Dr. Andreas Hirsch, sowie Studierendenvertreter*innen einen Thementag Diversity mit den Schwerpunkten Internationalisierung und Rassismus.

Gemeinsam mit Expert*innen aus den Fakultäten und zentralen strategischen Projekten sowie den Studierenden werden Chancen und Herausforderungen im Bereich Internationalisierung diskutiert und einen selbstkritischen Blick auf das Thema Rassismus gerichtet, mit dem auch die FAU konfrontiert ist. Initiativen und Forschungsbeiträge von Studierenden, Wissenschaftler*innen und dem Büro für Gender und Diversity zeigen Ausprägungen und Interventionsmöglichkeiten auf und eröffnen den Raum zu diskutieren, wie wir unser Miteinander an der FAU gestalten können und wollen.

Als Unterzeichnerin der Charta der Vielfalt<http://www.charta-der-vielfalt.de> im Jahr 2012 bekennt sich die FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg zur Wertschätzung und Förderung von Vielfalt in ihrer Organisation und wurde im Rahmen des Audits „Vielfalt gestalten“<https://www.stifterverband.org/diversity-audit> des Stifterverbands 2023 für weitere drei Jahre re-auditiert.

Dear students,

once again, FAU is participating in this year's German Diversity Day with an interesting program, and we would like to cordially invite you all to take part!

When: Tuesday, May 14, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Where: Multifunctional room on the ground floor of Mensa Süd (Erwin-Rommel-Straße 60, 91058 Erlangen)

Language of the event: English

Together with the Vice President People, Prof. Dr. Andreas Hirsch, the Office of Equality and Diversity and student representatives, we are organizing a Diversity Day with a focus on internationalization and racism. Please find the program in the attachment.

We would like to get into conversation with you! Together with experts from the faculties and central strategic projects as well as students, we will discuss opportunities and challenges in the field of internationalization and critically self-reflect the issue of racism, which we are also confronted with at FAU. Initiatives and research contributions from students, academics and the Office of Equality and Diversity will highlight manifestations of racism as well as possibilities for intervention and open up space to discuss how we can and want to shape our work and study environment at FAU together.

By signing the Charta der Vielfalt<https://www.charta-der-vielfalt.de/en/> (Diversity Charter) in 2012, FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg is committed to valuing and promoting diversity in its organization, and it has been re-certified as part of the Stifterverband's Shaping Diversity<https://www.stifterverband.org/diversity-audit> audit in 2023.

We have already succeeded in getting some improvements on the way, but there is still a lot to do.
