Exhibition: Living with Radiation
The Chair of Science, Technology and Gender Studies and Professor Dr. Joachim Hornegger will be opening a historic documentary photography exhibition, Living with Radiation, at the Siemens Healthineers Museum on June 12 at 18:00. Conceptualized and curated by Prof. Dr. Maria Rentetzi, with the help of Kristina Ford and her ERC research group, the exhibition features dozens of images from archives across the world to showcase an inclusive history of radiation protection. Thanks to the contributions from museums and archives around the world, rare images from the early Röntgen rooms of 1901 will be exhibited alongside those of mid-century international organizations, including the International Atomic Energy Agency. The stories these images tell represent a culmination of a 5-year long ERC-funded research project, and align with Professor Rentetzi's research and publications on the history of science and technology and science diplomacy.
